Similar To Luck
While they might be different in stature and position played on the football field, there are some similarities between Trent Williams and Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck could no longer deal with the injuries he continually suffered, and the mental anguish that came from sitting out games. Trent Williams has begun sitting out for the Redskins after losing faith in the franchise’s medical department. The offensive tackle was upset with the way Washington’s doctors handled diagnosing and operating to remove a benign lump from his head.

Money Talks
Andrew Luck was fortunate enough to have earned almost $100 million during his career and could afford to walk away from football. Trent Williams is pretty much a veteran and has a similar amount of money in the bank through his football career as Luck. If Williams chooses to walk away from the sport, he wouldn’t have to start working at a fast-food restaurant to keep paying the bills, and he could stay retired.

Not Playing Again
Some reports claim that Trent Williams has vowed to never play for the Redskins again after their treatment of him during his time with the team. Washington seems to remain confident that Williams will once again play for them but he might not. Williams is refusing to budge in this standoff, and he appears to be moving for a trade.
If that trade doesn’t come, Trent Williams might just call it a day to prove how unhappy he is with the prospect of staying with Washington.
